WHY GOING THROUGH CHRONIC STRESS CAN MAKE YOU TIRED.

When your body feels stressed all the time, it can cause a lot of demand on your vagus nerve. Your vagus nerve is in charge of helping your body be resilient, socially connected, digestion, and keeping pain at bay.

When the vagus nerve gets overstimulated, or doesn't have proper tone, it can get fatigued quickly and slide you into something called "Dorsal Vagal" which is all about protecting what energy you have, so it can "shut" your body down and be a little more withdrawn.

So what are some things you can do?

1. Humming for 30 minutes a day

2. Gargling loud and proud for 2 minutes after brushing teeth 2x a day

3. Cold plunge or placing cold water on your face/chest for 1 minute

4. Breathing in by a count of 4 and then breathing out by a count of 8

5. Practicing mindfulness for 5 minutes a day. Try to concentrate on things you can see, feel and hear in the moment you are in. Not past or future.
