OVERSTIMULATED CAN LOOK LIKE THIS IN ADULT OR CHILD.
When you are easily overstimulated and just spent several hours with people, sounds, and lights.
This can also be known as Dorsal Vagal.
For some people, when they get overstimulated, their body will go into something called, Dorsal Vagal Shutdown.
When the sympathetic system becomes too overworked, the dorsal vagal nerve can shut down our system to go into "freeze" or "preserve" mode.
We see this often with our littles and adults that tend to experience anxiety and depression. Having an unintegrated Fear Paralysis Reflex can also contribute to this mechanism.
This is one of our first priorities of primitive reflex integration with our Melillo Method patients.
