HIP FLEXOR STRETCH FOR LOW BACK, HIP AND KNEE PAIN.

Your hip flexor is what allows you to pull your knee upwards to climb stairs, move your leg forward as you walk and to bend over to pick up something.

The psoas is a main hip flexor muscle and very important. This muscle attaches to every intervertebral disc in your low back. If over-tightened, it can cause strain on your lower back.

Begin, kneel on the ground, place your right leg in front of your body with your right foot on the floor. Place your hands on a chair or your hips for support. With a straight back, move your hips forward until you feel stretch in front thigh.

Hold 1 Minute and repeat 3-4 times a day!

Hint: There are several other stretches that we are able to customize for each of our patient's at Irenic inside The Chiropractic Place in Aledo, Texas.
